Your 30th birthday is a great opportunity to dress up a little fancy. In this post our customer Jessica tells us about her 'Hollywood glamour-themed' 30th birthday party and why our Badgley Mischka Black Sequin Cowl Back was the perfect dress for her very own red carpet:
Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
It was my 30th birthday party with a Hollywood glamour theme, red carpet and all. I had vintage hair & makeup all organized and just needed the perfect dress. Given the amount of money I had already spent on organising the event, I wanted the perfect dress that didn't come with a hefty price tag. So I stumbled across GlamCorner & the rest is history!
What was it about your 30th Birthday that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
The amount of money I had already spent towards the event, AND the hundreds of already-owned dresses that I have only worn once or twice. I didn't want to add another to the pile, so when I came across the dress hire concept it was love at first sight.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
The dress I selected had 'Glamour Queen' written all over it. With the sparkles, low back & train I knew this was the dress for me. To be honest, the brand didn't cross my mind in the selection process, I had an idea in mind of the look I was after and this was the perfect-fitting dress.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
This was my first time hiring a dress, I will admit I was nervy about the process but after going through the start-to-end process with GC I can't recommend it more highly. The reason for hiring was having the stand out 'wow' dress without the hefty price tag, and also without having to end up with yet another dress in the wardrobe that I wouldn't wear again..
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
I Googled 'hire clothing stores' and GlamCorner was one of the first to pop up. They had the best selection of dresses by far.
How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
Overall experience was 10 out of 10. From the dress arrival in mint condition, to the simplicity of returning it in a prepaid self-addressed return envelope enclosed, the concept and process of GlamCorner is genius and one of simplicity. I have already been spreading the word with high recommendation, and will definitely be back again :)
