Choosing the right dress to wear to a wedding can be a little tricky – especially when we all have so many to go to throughout the year! In this post our beautiful Sydney based customer Alisa shares with us how she hired this stunning Grace & Hart Renaissance Navy dress for her boyfriend’s sister’s wedding:
Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
My boyfriend’s sister got married which was the first wedding of the three siblings, so it was quite a significant event. The reason I decided to wear a designer gown was because I wanted to wear something that was completely different. Plus I knew the family would be wearing beautiful designer gowns, so I really felt that I needed to have a dress that would stand out and would photograph well in the family photos that would be taken on the day.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
Well finding the perfect gown to wear to a wedding that is both stylish and affordable isn’t the easiest thing. I had looked in a few stores in Sydney and just found that all the dresses I loved were out of my budget. Secondly, I only needed the dress for one night so to spend hundreds of dollars for a one night dress didn’t sit well with me. Renting a dress became more appealing when I realised how simple and easy the whole process was.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
When I first saw the Navy Renaissance Gown by Grace and Hart, I was awe struck. It was absolutely stunning. I wanted something with a classic silhouette but also something that captured the eye with intricate detail and I really felt that this dress did both.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
This was my first time renting a dress and after initially hearing about the concept I was quite sceptical because I like to try on the dresses on beforehand plus I really didn’t think I’d find anything that would appeal to me. But after finding GlamCorner online and then finding the Renaissance Gown it was so easy from there. And the GlamCorner Team were so helpful in answering all of my questions and clearing up any concerns I had about the size and fit.
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
It was actually the bride that had mentioned the dress rental concept to me because she had used a few different Sydney dress hire services, and she always raved on about how easy and affordable it was. I then went online and checked out a few of the sites that she had mentioned. I didn’t find anything that struck me until I jumped onto the GlamCorner site and selected their New Arrivals section. The Grace & Hart gown was the first on the list.
How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
My overall experience with GlamCorner was exceptional and I have already started recommending it to friends and family. There’s a large selection of dresses plus the ordering process is so simple. The GC team were great and so helpful plus the dress arrived in a beautiful box with the dress in perfect condition. I couldn’t have asked for a better first dress hire experience and I will definitely be hiring more dresses for my events in the future.
We’re so happy to hear that you had an amazing experience Alisa! You looked absolutely gorgeous! We can’t wait to see you for your next event <3 xx
