Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I’m originally from Brisbane so I was traveling down to Melbourne to attend Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse. I wanted to wear a designer dress because of the prestige of the event on the racing calendar.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I didn’t want to go a purchase a designer dress that I knew I would never wear again! That is the reason I chose to hire one. Also it was so hassle free, I had it delivered to the address I was staying in Melbourne plus I didn’t have to pay for any dry cleaning fees!
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
I chose the white Thurley ‘Bach Embroidered Dress’ which correlated with the theme of Derby Day. Thurley’s latest collection is amazing with beautiful lace and embroidery. I have previously worn Thurley dresses so I knew how amazing it would make me feel when I wore it.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time?
As I mentioned above I have previously worn a Thurley dress and I actually rented it from GlamCorner! The reason I rented the dress was because I love designer dresses although I will only invest in one when I know I will get a few wears out of it. For special occasions I will rent one so I can be more on trend.
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
The first time I discovered GlamCorner was when I had a post Marathon Lunch I attended. I wanted to wear a dress which made me feel confident and beautiful.

Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I hadn’t been to the spring racing carnival for many years so I was extremely excited to be attending Derby Day. After witnessing so many fabulous dresses from the Cox Plate via social media, I was on a mission to find something special to wear!
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I had an image in my head of how I wanted to look, but simply couldn’t afford the price tag! Hiring a dress made putting an outfit together so much easier without budgeting.

The dress was long sleeve with intricate lace and beading. A beautiful pearl colour that finished above the knee. Thurley has some amazing designs out at the moment but I choose this ‘Mother of Pearl Dress‘ as I needed to wear traditional colours for the Derby.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time?
This was my first time renting a dress. One of the main reasons I choose to hire was because I never wear an outfit twice for a special occasion. As fabulous as social media is, it’s hard to repost a photo in the same getup!

Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer fascinator for it?
Living in Melbourne the spring racing carnival is always the place to be seen and my girlfriends and I were due for a girls day out, so we decided to attend Derby Day on the last weekend in October 2016. As the event was approaching, I decided I wanted a statement headpiece and something that was black and white (because that is the theme of Derby Day), I also determined I didn’t want to buy a fascinator because they are far too expensive to only be worn once!! I had seen similar fascinators in Myer and David Jones and already had a good idea that it would match the outfit I had decided to hire from GlamCorner.

What was it about this occasion that made renting a fascinator so appealing for you?
Mainly because I didn’t want to spend hundreds on a headpiece I was going to wear once – I hate being an outfit repeater and hiring a fascinator was the perfect option!!
Tell us about the fascinator and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
It was a Morgan and Taylor headband in black and white. I chose this option as I liked that it was quite large, and felt that it would compliment the white dress I chose. I also decided that I wanted black as the main feature for my headpiece and black for my shoes. The white in the middle gave it a look of freshness!! I also liked the subtle white flower in the headpiece, though my dress was ivory, from a distance you couldn’t spot the difference.
Have you rented an outfit before or was this your first time?
I sure have. I have now rented from GlamCorner three times and have had nothing but great experiences every time!!

I had heard about designer dress hire and done a few google searches.
