We had the pleasure of hosting Australian model, Miss Universe Australia 2015 and GlamCorner Ambassador Monika Radulovic at GlamCorner HQ recently and we had a blast! In between shooting our new campaign we sat down with this beautiful girl to get to know her better:
Who is your style muse?
I really love Olivia Culpo! She was Miss USA 2012 and she’s stunning. Google her, she has the best style! She can be sporty, she can be lady-like and she can be sexy. I really like that, my personal style also changes a lot so I really admire her.
Also Blake Lively is amazing! She can do no wrong on the red carpet.
You’re getting married so soon, congratulations on your engagement! What would be your ultimate wedding destination and wedding dress?
In a perfect world, an ideal destination would be the Croatian Islands. My fiancée and I both have some Croatian heritage so to have that connection would be amazing. However, I’ve decided to get married in Australia because I feel like we have the most beautiful country on the planet!
My perfect wedding dress? I have not had time to even think about it! I feel completely confused and bombarded with options. So watch this space, cos at the moment I have no idea! I do know I want it to be elegant, effortless, and beautiful.
Can you share 3 Australian labels you love?
I try to make sure that the majority of my wardrobe is by Australian labels. I believe we should really support local designers! I really love what Thurley is doing right now. I also love Zimmermann, I feel like you can’t go wrong there, the quality of their fabrics is just impeccable. So beautiful. And Alice McCall is phenomenal.
Did you always want to model? What were your aspirations before you were discovered by the fashion industry?
When I was in high school if someone had told me I would ever be a model or Miss Universe I would have laughed in their face. It was never in my sights. It happened really randomly. I actually have an honours degree in Psychology and if I wasn’t a model I would be practicing Psychology.

Where has modelling taken you in terms of travel, what have been some of your favourite destinations?
Modelling has taken me to so many incredible destinations but of course the most rewarding has been the people I get to meet on the job! I recently worked on a commercial for Hershey’s Chocolate and got the opportunity to explore New Zealand which was just phenomenal. It has been my number one go-to destination since because it’s just so beautiful. I also got to go to Vegas for Miss Universe and it was amazing.
What are your future goals and where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Oh my goodness I have so many goals! I have personal goals, business goals, family goals… In 5 years I’ll be happily married and I hope that my career is up and running. I’m working on a website right now, that has been my big focus. Monikarad.com.au will be a blog where I can speak about what I’m passionate about, what interests me, the events that I attend, what designers I love to wear and everything about my life that I think might interest other women.
My ultimate goal is just to be happy! I know it’s so cliche but I just feel like we should be happy with what we have and that’s the only we way we can get more of it. So focus on what you do have and be grateful for that.
