Amongst the relentlessly fast-paced show schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and miss out on all the little details that make it so valuable and worthwhile. The week itself is all about celebrating clever design and talented craftsmanship executed by Australia’s elite fashion designers and how lucky we are to exist in a country so full of inspiration and thriving creativity!

To celebrate the little things, we’ve compiled a short list of our favourite MBFWA looks off-the-runway that we’d love to emulate!

Zhivago stormed the runway with a range of retro looks that stunned as much as they show-stopped. A stark handful of these designs proved to be MBFWA look appropriate but one that stood out to us was this ensemble.

This look featured a gorgeous sequinned top with a deep v-neckline and kaleidoscopic sequins on full-length sleeves with an exposed midriff. Paired with an edgy pair of shorts made for a modern spin on a retro-inspired look that we absolutely adore! Bec & Bridge, ever the suppliers of bold and outspoken designs, stunned us speechless with a long line of fearlessly unique ensembles that travelled beyond the expected norm from fashion week. A simple tee tucked into a pair of ruffled dress pants and strappy heels make for a gorgeous MBFWA look that we just love. This look is one that stands in between the fine line of understated and unabashedly fashionable. It’s a versatile ensemble excellent for a date night out with someone special or an fun party with the girls!
